Beach Themed Bridal Shower

This past weekend I created and styled a dessert table for a bridal shower. The theme was starfish/beach  as their wedding is taking place down in Cape Cod. I knew I wanted to use the teal & tan colors for sand and beach.

For the cupcakes, I made some with white frosting and blue/teal. I topped them off with either a white chocolate shell from my mold, or a "Diamond" ring to represent the wedding to come. Some of the cupcakes also had personalized toppers. I lined the cupcake plates with either mini white pearl candies or "Sand" (Crushed Graham Crackers.)

I added some beautiful white hydrangeas to the table. I wrapped the vase with a teal ribbon and also added a starfish to stick out from the top. I simply used a bamboo stick to hot clue the starfish and then stick in the vase.

My favorite part of the table was the this mini adarondeck chair I found at a local store. I knew right when I saw it that I would use it for His & Her cupcakes. I topped the bride cupcake with  a diamond ring & "Bride to Be" topper and the groom had "Groom to be."

What's a beach themed dessert table without Salt Water Taffy? I filled one of my vases with "sand" and topped it with a bunch of taffy. I also placed the "sand on the cake stand under the vase."

I used mini white pails and filled them with chocolate molds in the shapes of sea shells and starfish.  I placed them on a bed of "sand."

Hershey Kisses were another candy on the table. I labeled the bottoms with starfish stickers and "Kristin's Bridal Shower"

Merenguie cookies just remind of the beach by their color and shape. They were perfect for the table.

The cake was a simple white frosted cake wrapped with teal ribbon and topped with "sand" and two starfish to represent the bride and groom.

I used the same toppers from the cupcakes to punch a hole and wrap at the bottom of the wine glasses.

The bridesmaids bought starfish wine toppers for favors. They were so cute! I created a sign for the table for guests to take one as they were leaving.  I added a few sand dollars to the table as well.
